For the Loaf:

  • 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/2 cup coconut sugar (or sweetener of choice)

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

  • Pinch of salt

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

  • Zest of 1 orange

  • 1/4 cup almond milk (or any plant-based milk)

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted (or another healthy oil)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Orange Drizzle:

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)

  • Zest of 1 orange


  1. Preheat and Prepare:

    • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a large mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, almond flour, coconut sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.

  3. Prepare Wet Ingredients:

    • In a separate bowl, whisk together applesauce, orange juice, orange zest, almond milk, melted coconut oil, and vanilla extract until well combined.

  4. Combine Wet and Dry:
