This high-fibre chia concoction will help make your bathroom routine go more smoothly when you're feeling backed up. The chia seeds have a gel-like consistency that aids digestion, and the cayenne pepper adds a kick that acts as an intestinal stimulant.

  1. In a glass cup, combine chia seeds, lemon or lime juice, and cayenne; add water. Stir constantly for 30 seconds or more, or until the chia seeds gel and become suspended within the water.



  • 1 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 tsp lemon or lime  juice

  • Pinch of cayenne pepper

  • 1 cup filter water
